PADI AWARE Foundation™ is a non-profit public charity that drives global ocean conservation through local action. We are comprised of three registered charities with offices located in Australia, USA and UK, and staff fighting for ocean protection in locations across the globe. We are looking for passionate team members to drive our mission, advance the PADI Blueprint for Ocean Action and grow with us.

Job Title: Communications Specialist, Global

Location: Remote, (USA Preferred) 

Opening: April 2025

Description: The Communications Specialist focuses on raising public awareness of the organization, its work and impact by coordinating the organization’s media and digital outreach efforts both online and offline. The Communications Specialist must be an excellent writer, storyteller and give exceptional attention to detail. The Communications Specialist works collaboratively with all members of the AWARE global team along with members of PADI Communications and Marketing, and coordinates the dissemination of information to maximize our messages to targeted multilingual audiences. Knowledge in our current key focus areas, marine debris and shark conservation, and a genuine interest in ocean conservation and adventure in general are essential to understand and appreciate the guiding principles of our conservation strategy.  Knowledge of the scuba diving industry or being a scuba diver is helpful to understand and appreciate our history and the context of our work. communications must be consistent, compelling, and timely; targeted to the appropriate audience; and written for the appropriate communications medium.
