Sydney is also home to a wide variety of dive charter boats and PADI diving shops. This is because the Sydney offer so much great diving, both from the boat and shore.
Along with the diverse marine life found around Sydney, it is a harbour city and the nature of the coastline around Sydney is such that there is a great dive site around every corner.
This means there will always be an array of dive sites close by to wherever you are located. Whether you are staying in dive Sydney Harbour, across the bridge in Manley or down south to Kurnell or Cronulla, you are never far from a dive site.
You can dive in Sydney all year around and the water temperature ranges from 14-21 degrees Celsius.
July to October in Sydney is great for diving with the cooler water temperatures creating a clean and clear underwater visibility. From January to April the water temperatures slowly start to rise until it reaches its peak in June.
