The SS Vera was a coal freighter, however she was beached off the coast of Cley next the Sea in November 1914 after colliding with a Royal Navy minesweeper, the Parthian. The remains of the wreck lies approx 120m off the beach.
She is best dived at high water slack however at low tide you will be able to see the remains of the smoke stack sticking out of the water so it is a good idea to arrive at low tide and tie on a buoy to aid finding her at high water slack.
