Tanote Bay is located on the east side of the island in a picturesque bay. The dive site is relatively big and stretches all along the coastline. Depths ranges from 8m to 18m when you head over the local wreck.
This wreck lies further southeast from a cluster of rocks that stick out of the water and that is where you can find a sunken catamaran. For lovers of macro this is a great area to look for pipefish, cleaner shrimp and spider crab. Occasionally you can find a large Jenkins Whipray lying in the sand underneath the catamaran.
On the southern side of the main site there is an old motorbike that is guarded by a very aggressive and brave damselfish that has made it its home. Here there is many different types of beautiful coral to admire as well as tropical reef fish.
In the southeast of the dive site, there are several ongoing artificial reefs projects. The site is suited for divers of all levels and a great site for underwater photography enthusiasts.
