Just north of Maya Bay on the west of Phi Phi Leh, you will find Palong Bay, with the sea to the west, and dramatic cliffs to the east. Underwater, Palong Bay lies in the middle of two quite different dive sites.

South of Palong Bay, heading towards Maya Bay, is a series of excellent swim-throughs and small tunnels in the rock formations. The highlight of the south part is however the frequent hawksbill turtle sightings seen at almost all parts of the reef.
These two dive sites are home to quite a few species of marine life which are not often seen at the other dive sites in the area, and are a great location for macro photographers looking for something unusual.
