Our boat will be anchored next to a picturesque volcanic archway and small cave. The depth on the top of the arch is only 5m deep so this is a perfect place for your 3 minute safety stop at the end of your dive.
There is a heavy covering of bright red and yellow sponges on the underside of the arch. Over the past year we have been observing the growth of 5 new black corals which are growing here. Normally, black coral lives in depths of over 25metres so we are fortunate to see them growing in only 8 metres. A sleeping Ray or a Canarian Lobster can often be seen in the small cave next to the arch. For the underwater camera enthusiasts you must not forget to charge those batteries!!
