Eagle Bay gets its name from the eagles that nest in the rock face alongside the island, divers should keep an eye out for them as they are a magnificent sighting. The drop site for Eagle Bay sits in a small bay with a surface float to tie a boat down on, the coral reef in this area sits at 6m. The dive site has a wide variety of coral and a very unique topography with large rock structures. Divers are encouraged to keep an eye out in the mid-water for megafauna such as rays, sharks, and turtles. The route commonly followed by divers is with the reef on your left-hand side, diving at an average depth of 15-18m. It is recommended to dive along the island for 20 minutes and then turn around and make your way back to the boat. The currents in this area can be very strong and unpredictable, and downwellings are common, so caution is advised. This dive site is suitable for advanced and experienced divers.
