Deep Turbo is on the north-east side of Gili Trawangan. The site consists of impressive gorges, ridges and sea mounds surrounded by a sandy bottom where fields of garden eels, blue spotted stingrays and cuttlefish can be found. There are also several overhangs and small caves where many creatures live. You can find a huge variety of tropical reef fish and some frequent larger visitors include white tip reef sharks, barracuda and even eagle rays. The soft and hard coral are magnificent with giant Gorgonian sea fans. It is also a great area for a wide variety of nudibranches and if you’re lucky you can find pygmy seahorses! It has an average depth of 25 meters and at times there can be strong current, due to which it is best suited to more advanced divers.
