Rapid Bay is one of the prettiest shore dives in Australia and a reliable place to see the rare and mesmerizing leafy sea dragon. Located 90 minutes south of Adelaide, divers can spend multiple dives observing and photographing the abundant marine life on the overgrown pylons.
Soft corals, sponges, (pygmy) leatherjackets and cowfish are just a few of the leafy sea dragon's companions at Rapid Bay Jetty. You can also expect to see large schools of fish pufferfish and the occasional bull ray.

Rapid Bay is one of the prettiest shore dives in Australia and a reliable place to see the rare and mesmerizing leafy sea dragon. Located 90 minutes south of Adelaide, divers can spend multiple dives observing and photographing the abundant marine life on the overgrown pylons.

Rapid Bay is diveable year-round with water temps ranging from 17°C/63°F to 20°C/69°F. Enjoy the warmest water temps from October to May.
The maximum depth is only 10 meters/33 feet and easily accessible for divers of all experience levels. Visibility is usually 5-15 metres/15-50 feet.
