Details

Calico Jack is a liveaboard running diving safaris around some of Indonesia's finest regions.

Our splendid classical vessel is perfectly designed for luxury liveaboard adventures, sailing through epic scenery, secluded bays, lagoons, white sandy beaches, and tropical islands. Join us for an outstanding journey of discovery and experience an intimate connection with people, nature, and wildlife.

Newly built in 2014 and refurbished annually, the 30-meter Calico Jack offers every modern convenience to its guests. Built as a classic Phinisi schooner, it adds a local touch to your journey and expertly handles the sometimes rough Indonesian waters.

With a maximum of 10 guests on board, there is plenty of room as the schooner cruises Komodo, Raja Ampat, and beyond. The yacht includes two dining areas (indoor and outdoor), a spacious lounge, a sundeck, and a dive deck.

While there is no internet on board, a satellite telephone is available for emergencies. Guests can relax in indoor and open-air dining areas, enjoy the TV and DVD player in the lounge, and make use of the computer and sound system. The spacious sun deck is perfect for sunbathing. Guests also have access to fishing equipment, kayaks, SUB boards, and wakeboards.

Typically, two to three excursions are offered during each itinerary. In Raja Ampat, you might climb Wayang or search for a Bird of Paradise. The Komodo itinerary includes stops at Komodo National Park and remote islands for snorkeling, interacting with locals, or hiking in dense rain forests.

Calico Jack features five boutique cabins: two double bed cabins, two double or single bed cabins (the double beds can be separated into two singles), and one twin cabin. Each cabin has private en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, air conditioning, individual fans, plenty of storage space, and 220v charging points operating 19 hours a day.

The crew ensures you are well-fed and happy during your trip. Mornings start with a light breakfast of coffee, tea, and toast, followed by a full cooked-to-order breakfast after your first dive. Lunch and a three-course dinner are served at your table. Biscuits and toast are available throughout the day.

All meals, coffee, tea, snacks, fruit juice, and drinking water are included, while soft drinks, espresso, and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. You will be served a varied menu of Italian, Chinese, BBQ, and Indonesian dishes, with special dietary requirements catered to with advance notice. Meals can be enjoyed in the indoor dining area or on the open-air deck with views of passing islands and sea.
